I am a Wife to a beyond supportive husband Dennis and a mother to an amazing 6 year old girl named Gracie. I have been in birth work for over a decade and caring for newborns for over 16 years! I first started out fresh out of high school working in childcare centers in the infant classroom to toddlers and preschools. I later went on to open my own childcare center and went back to college to do my degree in early childhood education. Meanwhile working on the side as a doula and finding it to be my first love I pursed further education as birth and postpartum doula and in 2018 and took Lactation training to support moms who desire to breastfeed. went full time running my own doula business. In my early years I helped family and friends alike through labor and supported them through the post part- partum period then branched out to strangers who all somehow become like family to me after our journey together.

 All of this got started and grew over the years in New York before moving to Texas to continue my journey. I am not only a birth and postpartum doula but also a student midwife. Through Faith and prayer I am accomplish this all!

The word Maisha simply yet so powerfully means LIFE in Swahili. How fitting that you will be bringing new life into this world and my job is to bring life to your birth experience. The process of labor is meant to be natural, embraced and unrestricted. I bring a since of calmness and security to your birthing experience.
