Maisha Doula services has one main goal, which is to help fight birth related death and grief, one family at a time. The United States has the highest maternal mortality rate across the developed world. My aim is to bring life in all forms, to your birthing and postpartum experience. Whether that means speaking life into a doubtful situation or bringing joy into a gloomy room. I am here for it all!

My name is Yvette Farrar founder of Maisha Doula Services, and I am a certified birth and postpartum doula. My journey began right out of high school, when I felt a clear calling to support women during childbirth. That calling led me to earn a degree in Early Childhood Education, specializing in children from birth to six years old. Over time, I became a certified birth and postpartum doula, a childbirth and newborn care educator, and a sleep coach -continuing to build on both my knowledge and my heart for this work.

With over 12 years of experience as a birth doula and more than 20 years supporting women, newborns, and families, I bring wisdom and compassion into every space I enter. I have supported a wide range of birth experiences, and I believe deeply in honoring each mother's unique journey, choices, and voice.

My care is rooted in love, patience, and faith. My Christian values guide the way I serve - with gentleness, encouragement, and a genuine desire to uplift - but I welcome and support families of all backgrounds and beliefs. I believe every mother deserves to feel safe, respected, and deeply cared for.

Whether I am providing physical comfort during labor, emotional reassurance, education, or simply being a calm, grounding presence, my goal is always the same: to ensure that you feel supported, confident, and never alone.

Bringing new life into the world is one of the most sacred and transformative experiences a woman will ever have, and no mother should have to walk that journey alone. I am deeply honored to stand beside women and families during these moments, offering steady support, compassionate care, and a presence you can trust from pregnancy through postpartum.

Being invited into such intimate and life-changing moments is something I hold close to my heart. Supporting women as they step into motherhood - whether for the first time or again - is not just what I do; it is who I am. I am a woman who serves by supporting you through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
